On the Reconfigurability of a Singly-Layered Dual-Band Reflectarray for Space Applications

This paper presents a feasibility study of singlylayered dual-band reflectarray for space applications. The data links should operate simultaneously at K-band downlink frequency band 17.7-20.2 GHz with left-hand circular polarization (LHCP) and Ka-band uplink 27-30 right-hand (RHCP). main aim is to present how can be designed so as allow reconfigurability its radiation pattern, especially in terms beam steering two different directions. design automated by means computational tool developed MATLAB environment interfaced the electromagnetic simulator CST Studio Suite Visual Basic scripts. Simulation results are presented demonstrate efficiency proposed reconfiguration strategy.
